The Human resource development ministry of India started a new study web of active learning for young Asping minds (SWAYAM) , a web portal where massive open on line courses will be available on all kinds of subjects.SWAYAM is a platform for learning new courses through online. Swayam is a part of New India Scheme, through this the indian citizen can get quality education and self learning.Swayam will provide the great opportunity to Indian students to learn without fearing from failure.
Courses and Facilities
Swayam is especially helpful for the students from remote areas, working professional as well as those who not complete their college courses.Currently SWAYAM started three different courses, 2 courses from IIT Bombay and 1 course from UC Berkeley's Umesh Vazarani. Indian Institute of Bangalore has also joined the platform and they will start online courses through Swayam soon.

This basic course in thermodynamics has been designed for the students of mechanical engineering. Students will learn the concept and terms used in thermodynamics with exact definitions.
