the official website for applying new passport for Indian Citizen. There are so
many seva kendra has opened under the passport office. Through this seva kendra
people can apply new passport, renew the passport , apply police clearance
certificate, surrender certificate and apply diplomatic and service passport.

Fees
- For fresh passport or reissue of passport (36 pages rs 1500, 60 pages (jumbo rs 2000)
- Minor passport fees Rs 1000 (till minor reach 18 or passport validity 5 years which ever is earlier)
- For tatkaal passport (36 pages rs 3500(rs 1500+2000 as tatkal charge), 60 pages (jumbo rs 2000)
- Fees for lost and damaged and stolen passport (36 page rs 3000 and 60 pages rs 3500) if it in tatkal the fess is (30 pages 5000 and 60 pages 5500)
How to apply new passport
- There are two ways to apply new passport. One is online application and other is Submitting the E-form.
- Open the official web page and Click the link http://www.passportindia.gov.in
- The applicant want to register in Passport seva online portal by clicking the register now.
- Create a username and password
- Log in the passport seva online portal with theregisterd username and password.
- Please click the apply for fresh passport or reissue of passport link.
- Fill carefully the application forma and submit the application form.
- After select the mode of payment and appointment date. ( you can make the payment through the debit,credit card (visa or master card) internet banking (state bank of India and associate banks only)
- Please take print out of the application receipt(the print out contain application reference number and appointment number)
- you can visit the passport seva kendra or regional passport office, where you booked the appointment along with the original documents.
E- form Submission
- Download the e form through the below link http://www.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/online/downloadEFormStatic
- Fill the downloaded e form and you want to click the validate and save button in it. then a XML file will be generated, this is required for uploading the file.
- You want to register the passport seva portal by clickng the online register now. then you will get apssword and username.
- Log in the official website by using the user name and password
- Upload the generated XML file through the upload e form. please remember only XML file is accepted by the system.
- After choose the payment you can make the payment through the debit,credit card (visa or master card) internet banking (state bank of India and associate banks only)
- Please take print out of the application receipt(the print out contain application reference number and appointment number)
- you can visit the passport seva kendra or regional passport office, where you booked the appointment along with the original documents.
