How to Register Kerala Education Loan Repayment Support Scheme

www.elrs.kerala.gov.in is the official website for returning the educational loan.Kerala Government has proposed an educational loan repayment support scheme. This scheme will help the students who are difficult to repay the education loan debts after the completion of the course.Below you can see how to help for students and how to apply.


  • Scheme - Support the youngsters for repaying the education loan
  • Scheme Duration - 4 years
  • The scheme would be adopted all the scheduled co-operative bank and commercial bank and it will applicable only for the students who joined in professional course and recognized technical course in India.
  • It will no applicable those students who joined in abroad ,Management / NRI Quota.

How to register the application

  • Log on the official website - www.elrs.kerala.gov.in
  • Applicant want to choose the type of the student ,Student name ,Gender ,Date of Birth , SSLC Exam roll number and Mobile number and Aadhar number etc... Please give all the information very carefully.
  • Upload the certificate (Should be PDF format) (SSLC certificate, Aadhar card  and Pan card)
  • Filing the claim Application.  After completing the registration an user id and password will be sent to your registered mobile number. Students want to log in the site y using that username and password.
  • After log by username and password Fill all necessary information. before filling the information read carefully. 
  • Permanent address of the applicant
  • Name of the parents, spouse and guardian.
  • Detailed of the borrower and detail of the course studied.
  • Category of the student.
  • Bank detail from which the bank the loan amount availed.
  • Detail of the loan availed.
  • Detail of the amount repaid 
  • Family annual income
  • Detailed of the relief availed under any other scheme 
  • Choosing the Government support category.
  • Online submission of claim to the bank.
  • After filling all the information and upload the certificates the application can be submitted the online in the portal.
  • After submitting the online application the portal will generate a pdf copy of the application along with the certificates upload.
  • The application has to submit a printout in full and sign the places required.
  • The signed application want to submit bank where the loan is maintained.
  • The bank will verify the online application copy and the record available in the bank.
  • Applicant want to sign the specific application form as prescribed from the bank.
  • if the application is successful the bank branch will arrive the claim amount and applicant contribution and intimate the applicant through the online portal.
  • The applicant has to remit his share into his loan account with in 90 days from the date of information.
  • If the application rejected students can resubmit the application form after rectifying the defects.
  • Last date for the submission of application will be 31-10-2017.
